U-KISS (유키스) debuted in August 2008 under NH Media as a multi-national boy group whose lineup included members from Korea, China, and the United States—an international composition that anticipated the more deliberate globalization strategies major agencies would adopt in later years. The group developed a loyal international fanbase before most of the industry had systematically targeted audiences outside Korea.
Through releases including Man Man Ha Ni, 0330, and Neverland, U-KISS built a catalog of polished 2nd generation pop that was consistently well-received without breaking through to the commercial level of the era's top-tier acts. The group's frequent lineup changes—more than a dozen members across their career—became a defining feature of their public identity, testing fan loyalty in ways that most other groups avoided.
U-KISS remain active across different configurations, a longevity earned through consistent touring and an international audience with strong emotional investment. In the K-Pop Atlas graph, they represent the internationalization ambition that existed within the 2nd generation well before BTS and BLACKPINK made global reach the central story of K-pop.
